My order came in today from Superior Tattoo. 3 springs, 2 armature bars, 5 #15 mags, 5 #13 mags, 5#14 rounds. The machine hums again. Triangle for me, cross for Sic_un. Pictures when I find batteries for the camera.

Welcome to my studio
I saw my first tattoo when I was 7. I wanted my first tattoo when I was 14. I couldn't afford it when I was 19. I could afford it monetarily when I was 28, but emotionally was another story. Getting my first tattoo didn't happen until I was 35, just 2 short years ago. Now I'm 37 and I've picked up a machine and applied ink to skin and I want to do more.
Although I hate doing it, I'll have to put up some rules. I'll try and keep them to a minimum, but I do beg your indulgence.
This isn't about art, although my personal belief is that tattooing is the hardest art form on the face of the planet.
This is about skill and whether or not I can learn how to do this. More importantly, it's about whether or not I can do this well. Quite frankly, if I suck at it, I don't wanna do it.
Constructive comments only. Comment moderation has been enabled to keep out the 'You suck!' and 'You're wonderful!' comments. Give me pointers, tips, tricks, suggestions. Highlight my mistakes. And if something is especially good, tell me what works for it. But don't leave me high and dry with You suck!' and 'You're wonderful!'. I do and I am.
Judge the work at hand. I'll tell you what exactly I had a hand in choosing for the tattoo. Take me to task for those choices, not for something I had no control over. This means that if I say I used Generic Flash#8, don't holler about the design. I had no control over that.
